Dr. Ted Seago - Biography

Dr. Ted Seago has been married to Dr. Johnnie K. Seago for 39 years. Together, they have raised 8 children of which 5 are adopted and spent 22 years home educating their children. The Seagos have 14 grand children and live in the north of Houston in Lake Conroe area. 

Dr. Seago has spoken at countless home schooling conventions, conferences, workshops and seminars in the areas of parenting, marriage, college options, education trends, home organization, political engagement, classroom creativity and student motivation. 


Pastor Seago is a life-long educator and has served 43 years as a local church pastor. He is currently serving as Pastor of Community Life at Restoration Church in Montgomery, Texas. Dr. Seago has Bachelor and Masters degrees in education from Lamar University and earned his Doctor of Education degree from University of Houston. In addition to his pastoral duties, Ted has severed as a Headmaster, classroom instructor and college professor. Dr. Seago is also a certified life coach, teacher and speaker with the John Maxwell Team. 


Drs. Ted and Johnnie K. Seago own and operate Parent and Child Educational Services (PACES), a home education facilitating ministry.  PACES has guided the education of over 3,000 home school families providing private consultations, classes, online curriculum, social events, field trips, international travel and testing services. 

Dr. Johnnie Seago - Biography

Dr. Johnnie Seago is an educational leader in public, private, and home education since 1981. Active in for-profit, and not-for-profit private education, public school, and educational research. Additionally, she is a consultant to corporations involving leadership and team building training and expert witness in court hearings regarding educational options for families. Her specialization includes qualitative research, especially data collection, analysis, and findings presentation.

Drs. Ted and Johnnie Seago have taught leadership development to thousands of students, adults and businesses over the last thirty years.  Always speaking as a team, they strive to create inspiring and entertaining presentations that challenge audiences to “grow and go” – to add value to the lives they touch and organizations they lead. Believing that “everything rises and falls on leadership” Ted and Johnnie have a desire to share their leadership successes and failures with the hope that listeners will find the purpose, passion and plan that God has for their lives.
